July 31 - August 17. 

The bcu Australian Surf Festival

More than 500 surfers from around Australia will be actively contesting the two-week surfing showpiece with the National titles to be decided in Open Surf Masters, Longboard, Logger and Bodyboard divisions.

The main base for the event will be Park Beach but the event is fully mobile within the Coffs Harbour region subject to local swell and weather conditions on the day. There are numerous beach break options including Park Beach, Macauley’s Beach, Diggers Beach, Jetty Beach, Gallows, Arrawarra Beach, Mulloway Beach, Woolgoolga Beach, Emerald Beach and Sapphire Beach.

The official opening ceremony was held on July 31 at the Hoey Moey, 84 Ocean Parade, Coffs Harbour.

There will be a recorded message on a  hotline  0458  247  212   that will be updated each morning at about 6:45 advising of the location and schedule of that day’s event.

Our feature race day and Coffs Coast’s biggest social event of the Year! with a projected 8,000 guests being anticipated to enjoy the 8 race program and the Park Beach Plaza’s Fashions on the Field and many corporate sites and VIP functions with all facilities, catering, bars, bookies and TAB onsite and a great public transport structure to get you to and from the course.

It’s all about Cup Day and Coffs Harbour Race Club does not disappoint.

Offshore Superboats Championship

Coffs Harbour is hosting the 4th round of the Australian Offshore Superboats Championship. 

This is a free family event so come into Coffs Harbour for the weekend and visit the International Marina and Jetty foreshore area, see the boats up close and personal and grab your chance to meet the drivers and crews. Take in the adrenalin and watch the boats as they thunder through the course. These Superboats will be competing for glory on both the sheltered waters of the outer harbour and the adjacent ocean waters.The spectacular and action packed weekend of the “C.eX Coffs Harbour Offshore Superboat Championships” is set to draw very large crowds to the Jetty foreshore area of Coffs Harbour. These boats are considered to be the ‘Formula Ones’ of ocean racing.

August 28th to 31st

Festival of Vintage Transport

There will be four days of transport nostalgia to celebrate the centenary of the first train to roll into Coffs Harbour on the 30th August 1915. 
The Festival of Vintage Transport is being brought to Coffs Harbour by a committee of enthusiasts and the Coffs Harbour City Council.

The four day Festival brings together a celebration of trains, planes, sail and automobiles and is unique in being able to do so with the airfield, train station and a working harbour each linked together by a main road all within five kilometers of each other each.

The festival will take place at the Jetty Foreshore, train station, the harbour and the airfield.





September 6th 

Coffs Harbour Running Festival 

The Bendigo Bank Coffs Harbour Running Festival is a community event for people of all ages and abilities.
There are events to cater for all athletic abilities and include the 21.1 kilometre half marathon, 10 kilometre fun run, five kilometre fun run, and a three kilometre family fun run/walk. 
Held on the bush trail on the Coffs Creek Walkway, the flat, shady course is ideal for all runners and family groups. The picturesque track hugs the beautiful Coffs Creek and competitors run over boardwalks through coastal swamp forests of mangrove, casuarina and paperbark trees, from the centre of town to the Jetty coast and back.

September 10th to 13th

The Australian leg of the FIA World Rally Championship 


A big four days (and a night) is again taking place on the Coffs Coast this September.
The rally event features the multi-million dollar “factory” teams from Britain, Germany, France and Korea, plus some of the best privateer rally teams from around the world. 
This year the drivers will be challenged by some new stages in the Nambucca area and  on Friday there is a stop in the town of Taylors Arm where the legendary “Pub With No Beer” is found.

The world class stages will take the drivers through challenging open rural and forested countryside for over 300 kilometers in spectacularly beautiful sub-tropical scenery.

Designated viewing locations will be serviced and fully catered and they are all easily accessible and only a short trip from Coffs Harbour.

September 20th to 27th

Buskers and Comedy Festival

Australia’s largest gathering of professional street buskers.
This Festival includes family entertainment in the streets of Coffs Harbour, Sawtell and Woolgoolga.

There are performances scheduled for 15 different venues over the six days.
There are evening shows in the North Coast Botanic Gardens and adult shows in local pubs and clubs. 

Entertainment includes artists from across the globe, including a strong Australian and local contingent.

Family-friendly events fill the school holidays from 19 to 26 September at Woolgoolga.

Woolgoolga Curryfest

This year we celebrate (and celibate) the 10th Woolgoolga Curryfest, this is a celebration of Woolgoolga’s unique Punjabi heritage. 

The Curryfest is just part of a full calendar of events including the Lillipilli Art Exhibition at Woolgoolga Gallery which includes a special curry night at the gallery, Bollywood on the Beach outdoor movie on the Beach Reserve, ‘Tastes of Woolgoolga’ restaurant nights throughout September, ‘Woolgoolga the Bollywood Musical’ premiere, and the Woolgoolga Triathlon.


On the main Curryfest, festival day there will be over 100 stalls featuring curries from around the world, exotic spices, multicultural cuisine, Woolgoolga’s famous blueberries, mindfulness and meditation, music, dancing and cultural performances.

This is a celebration that should not be missed by anyone...
